How to draw a wolf – step by step
The body of the wolf is very similar to the dog, because both animals have the same ancestors. But wolf has a long coat and more traits of the predator of the animal. His fangs longer than a dog, his tail fluffy, and he has big fat claws on his paws. In cartoons, characters of wolves are often depicting grinning to convey their aggressive nature. The wolf has another distinctive feature – his body is a bit shorter and more powerful than the dog, so pay attention to the correct proportions. In this lesson, we learn how to draw a wolf in stages using pencil number 2.
Draw. Work on the contours of the body, legs and heads. First draw a circle for the head. For the neck will take two lines. Extend a longer line for the opposite side from the top neckline. Now put the rectangle to the place of the tail and a long narrow rectangle consisting of three smaller rectangles for each leg.
Add item to body. The second step – draw a rough body outline of the wolf. Make the rear line of wavy. Give your neck and legs more rounded shape. Give the tail of a more realistic round shape.
Wolf’s head. Describe the head of the wolf. First sketch of ears. Draw a cheek out of the right ear. Based on the left ear, we will draw the following: two tuberca and lower jaw connected to the neck.
Understand the smile of the wolf. On any drawing, including what animal, pay close attention to the expression of the face of your figure. So try to do everything possible to pass the predatory expression on the face of the wolf. Remember, the wolf is not on. Draw eyes easiest fashion. Next draw ears onions. Finally draw mouth with a grin.
Wolf coat. At the moment, work on the animal fur. To do this, apply small quick pencil strikes on our initial lines, as shown on my digit here. Try not to paint in the skin one color. The shadows give a wolf volume and in life, its fur has different shades, especially during the Molt.
Final Wolf Drawing Phase – Shadow. Add tones to your wolf. Add a dark strip to back. Draw another slightly light strip passing from neck to the stomach. Fur on the paws of animals turns into one direction. Shadow in the nose and forehead. Sharp contrasts increase the aggressiveness of the wolf, so you can use different color pencils. Another thing that can continue to help you emphasize that it is a landscape surrounding the animal. For example, Lai hunting dogs may surround the wrestlers.
